Day 3 - Our first stop is at the ancient parliament site Þingvellir (Thingvellir)

Tourists stroll along site path, not fully cognizant they are on the tectonic rift.

The site straddles the rift between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates, which are slowly separating. Icelanders joke about having a large country some day...
