In the slime in the SE corner outlet
Long channel. This end of the lake is surrounded by Lake Sawyer Regional Park
Debbie and Keith declined to fully descend into the slime
3 Bill prepares to ram my boat2
Bird watching on the way back. Looks like a Northern Flicker
I could at least see the viewfinder on the return picture of Mt. Rainier. After 1:45 of paddling in the heat I was glad to get back to the access

Lake Wilderness (WA) - August 17, 2017
Aug-17 Lake Wilderness revisit. 7:20pm launch
Same 2 dogs that bark at me every time I pass by
Mt. Rainier just before sunset. Skies are a lot clearer now that the smokey haze from the BC wildfires has pretty much dissipated
Evening live music by the Restless Vocal Band at Lake Wilderness Park
Shadow Lake (WA) - August 21, 2017
Aug-21 revisit to Shadow Lake. 9:46am launch timed to view solar eclipse
9:58am Mt Rainer view. Partial eclipse began 50 minutes ago. Looks the same to me
10:21am. Maximum eclipse. Taken holding camera over head. Supposed to be 93% obscuration. Doesn't seem much darker. A little more 'purple-ish'. Photo above is untouched. Tried various combos of gamma shift (brightness /contrast) but was unable to detect the crescent effect
11:24am Mt Rainier after end of eclipse. A bit brighter perhaps. Great day to kayak. Not real impressive eclipse
Lake Morton (WA) - August 24, 2017
Aug-24 Lake Morton revisit. 6:52pm launch
View from the south end
Chatting with a local fishing from the dock. Just sold his tiny house on the lake for $585K. Crazy

Mt. Rainier view just before sunset
Lake Desire (WA) - August 29, 2017
Aug-29 Lake Desire revisit. 7:06pm launch
Looking south into the haze from fires in central Washington and Oregon. Weather weenies say a westerly wind tomorrow will clear the skies
Looking out from the southern outlet into the sunset haze
The swimmers barge is returning to it's dock. Quite the 'castle' behind
Returning to access 20 minutes after sunset. The locals are getting ready to lock the gate! The 1/8 sec., ISO 1600 exposure made it still look like daylight
Spring Lake (WA) - September 1, 2017
Sep-1 Spring Lake revisit. 11:19am launch after 2 hr. hike
Thinking it's probably pretty shallow here
Looking back at my trail thru the lily pads
A flock of geeese taking in the Mt. Rainier view
Lake Meridian (WA) - September 12, 2017
Sep-12 Lake Meridian revisit. 6:05 pm launch
Looking south. Clouds are moving in as predicted, but it sure is nice to have blue skies again after a few weeks of the smokey orange haze
Almost sunset
Lake Number Twelve (WA) - September 22, 2017
View from the lily padded east end
View from the more open west end
Don't think any progress has been made since last year
Noisy guard dog
Still the mystery buoy in the middle. Quite the 'castle' behind
Back to access

Both the geese and I are watching the clouds roll in to the north
Little clouds looking south to Mt. Rainier
