View from lodge, waiting for dinner

Black Bar's Samurai backs up to pick up bags for transport. Jim discovered one of his bags unknowingly bounced out in the 'frog pond' and had to retrieve it

Outfitters take the hikers a few miles down to start hiking at Meadow Creek. The same group rejoins us at Paradise on our 2nd night there, after a stay at Marial. For added entertainment, I managed to scrap up my left calf coming down the crappy Black Bar access

Al surveys the action

At Black Bar, after my 'slide'2

Threatening clouds2

A few sprinkles required the switch to rain gear2

Thomas at Battle Bar

My favorite outhouse

More geese

Checking out the 'new' Missouri Bar

One of many new gravel bars as a result of the high winter rain flows. Agness was over 100k, Grants Pass over 20k in early January (see last graph at bottom. Current level is a bit over 2k CFS!

Looking up Mule Creek

Thomas leads into Mule Creek Canyon. BLM maintains river upstream of here, and USFS maintains the downstream stretch

Looking down between the tubes ...

Thomas checks out the crack

Approaching Blossom Bar

Pulling over for the jet boats in the Clay Hill Still

My 'lattice rock' snack break near Peyton Riffle

Just above Foster Bar 2:20pm. As predicted now sunny to make us sweat during derig

Group shot at Foster Bar take-out2

Foster Bar departure at 3:30pm, and home before 11pm

This year's T-shirt from Black Bar. Needed a souvenir to go with the scraped up leg.
No group fleece wear this year. Needed 5 weeks of lead time...
