Flaming Geyser State Park (WA) - June 11, 2015

Please be patient while the pictures load...

Even though I have used this state park over one hundred times as a rafting takeout, I have never hiked any of the trails

Not much of a geyser anymore. A capped methane vent

Cristy Creek, fed from Sinkhole lake about a mile away

Another 'geyser'

Grey stuff is methane vented to water

Walkway down to bubbling geyser

Green River view from short hike view point

and downstream

Green River view from longer hike view point

Side trail to crappy view point

Ferns look like wire mesh

Downed tree wedge above trail

Foliage closeup

Back at Cristy Creek bridge and trail splits

The 'geyser' is only a few feet off main trail

Conditioning pond empty. Not clear if it was used recently

Park map and verification reflection. Red squares are where the pictures were taken
