Jenkins Creek Park (WA) - April 26, 2014
Please be patient while the pictures load...
Jenkins Creek Park on my return bike ride from the Covington Library
5 (4+1) shot manually stitched panorama (exposure varied from 1/640 to 1/200 sec.) using 2000 Olympus Camedia Master 2.5
4 shot stitched panorama mode (exposure 1/320 sec.) using 2009 Olympus Master 2. I still prefer the older manual method...

Oil-water rendering of photo above by budding artist Diane
Bridge entrance on far side was washed out a few years ago
Some unpaved, some paved
The main park loop
"←" is the east side entrance. "X" is the closed west side
Cedar River Trail (WA) - July 20, 2014
Kinda damp for a Sunday morning ride, but not raining
After the rain started a few miles towards Renton, I opted for dryer and did a few upper trail laps
Hiding under the tunnel waiting out the rain that caught up to me. When I returned home 6 miles away the pavement was still dry. Such is life in the northwest
Jenkins Creek Park (WA) - July 26, 2014
Creek bridge damage cuts off access to the other half.
When I came back on my 9-Aug ride, a BRIDGE CLOSED sign had been added
Little duckies
Still quite scenic on the late July evening
Closeup
Everyone is out for the evening float
Bridge damage #2
Cedar River Trail (WA) - August 3, 2014
Seafair Sunday was a great day for an early morning bike ride. After starting in Maple Vally, I turned around below Regis Park in Renton
Freshly painted trail bypass
Not much water in the Cedar River this time of the year
Cedar River Trail (WA) - September 7, 2014
Gotta love a city that will ticket you for bike speeding (inset emphasis)
Water break on the return - looking up towards Rt.18
Looking back down the trail. Still cool at 8:53am
Jenkins Creek Park (WA) - September 28, Oct. 4,12, 2014
Ya! Covington City started repair so I can get to the other side
Support structure closeup
Getting close to sunset at 6:20pm. As I understand it this pond is man-made and drains into Jenkins Creek
Duckies are out for their evening stroll
Back again on Oct. 4 - able to get to the other side of the park. Adjacent neighbor seems to have llamas
Llama #2. Days are getting shorter, shadows longer. 5:19pm
the trails apparently get mowed
Bridge walkway is done. Railings are still missing. The "Caution" tape didn't deter me
Viewing deck
Back again on Oct. 12, after the Seahawks lost to the Cowboys at home. Looks almost complete. Caution tape gone, but not sure if the rest of the railings will be needed
