My room in Morrison's Rogue River Lodge

Sandy claims she is just standing at the lodge bar :)

Lodge dining area (we ate dinner outside)

Deck view looking towards river

Walk to boat dock

Looking back to main lodge

Early morning socialing

Our group also had 3 of the cabins

Due to lower flow, we decided to use the Grave Creek boat ramp instead of Almeda Park

Upstream from Grave Creek Bridge

Rigged and ready to go

Downstream to Grave Creek Rapid

Thomas thru Grave Creek Rapid

Al and Linda thru Grave Creek Rapid

Neil and Sandy thru Grave Creek Rapid

Jim thru Grave Creek Rapid

Ray thru Grave Creek Rapid

Entering the dory chute above Rainie Falls

Thomas thru dory chute

Thomas clears. Jim was right behind me and made it thru before I got the camera out

Twilight at Black Bar Lodge

Next morning

After numerous attempts at fixing the water heater for cabin G and H, we had moved last night. Note: avoid these small postage stamp cabins in the future

Passing generator shed on way to new cabin

1-4 on the lower trail, 5-8 on the upper. 4 of us took 1 and 2

Departing from Black Bar

Nice glassy wave

Thomas Guide at Battle Bar

Verification #1

Up close with nature

Passing Missouri Bar

Into China Bar Rapid

Parked at the bottom of Mule Creek

Into Mule Creek Canyon

Getting tighter

And tighter....

Checking to see if anyone got stuck

Though tight, there is a lot more room than the fall runs at 1100 CFS

Stair Creek

Eddied out below Blossom Bar

Looking downstream to Devil's Stairs

Looking back at Blossom Bar

In the Garden House again at Paradise Lodge

Pre-dinner deck socialing

Garden House on walk back from Dinner almost dark, 8:39pm ISO1600 exp. 1/10 sec., so it's kinda fuzzy :)

Deak's Peak on walk back to lodge for breakfast

Mulling over whether the hike will hurt my knee that already aches

No cattle this year, only geese

Thomas retrieves 2 chairs blown from Deak's Peak

Good Job. Ray and I saw them last year and decided it wasn't worth the effort

The rest of the group takes off hiking. Neil joins me at Deak's Peak

Enjoying the scenery

Verifcation #2

Yup, we made it

Thomas opted for the side hike to Allen and Charlie's Peak while I opted to wait in the tree shade and savour the view

More scenery

Madrone tree

I hear screaming....

Thomas made it!

Hike part 2 after picking up lodge lunch

Staring into the clear water of Paradise Creek

Paradise Creek bridge

Afternoon socialing during the layover day

Waiting for others to clear

Gear is lowered back down

Departing Paradise

Riverside geese

Steps to the General's Cabin

Floating along

East Creek

Being buzzed by Jerry's Kids

Into the Clay Hill Still

While I did eat lunch with the group above Flora dell, I needed to get out of the heat, and moved to the shade across river

Taking pictures of shaded alcoves doesn't always work well

Flora Dell Creek

Quite the zoo at the Foster Bar takeout. Seems like everyone got there at the same time!

The tradition resumes. This year's group fleece wear revisits Ray's previous year dory chute run. Thanks Al!
